FUNAAB Postgraduate Student: 'I Was Raped Through The Anus and Private Part

24-year-old postgraduate understudy of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, has denounced a man, Adesoji Orenowo, of assaulting her in his home at European Quarters, Meiran, Lagos. Punch reports.

The FUNAAB postgraduate understudy in her announcement to the police, said she consented to spend the night at Orenowo's home since she confided in him.

She stated, "I visited him because to know him more after we met in December 2017. He disclosed to me that he was constantly occupied at work and in the event that I were free amid the end of the week, we could attach. He sent me N3,000 for transport charge. That was the first occasion when he would send cash to me.

"When I got to his place, I rested there on the grounds that I met his uncle and the uncle's better half with a few cousins, who invited me. Despite the fact that I was as yet awkward and was thinking about on returning home, his uncle's significant other said I was protected.

"Around 10pm, I rested in the room accommodated me, which was inverse his uncle's room. Around 2.30am, I saw Orenowo adjacent to me; he was contacting and annoying me. I all of a sudden stood up and went to the section. Luckily, his uncle turned out to urinate and saw me perusing the Bible with the torchlight of my telephone. I went to sit in the parlor.

"Orenowo came and abruptly hauled me from the parlor through the section into the room. While hitting my head on the divider, he held my neck. I called for help, however his uncle did not turn out.

"He (Orenowo) relatively choked me, saying on the off chance that I said anything, he would slaughter me and no one would follow me. I got a considerable measure of punches and slaps. He stripped me Unclad and debilitated to attach me to the bed on the off chance that I didn't collaborate with him. He infiltrated me through the butt and private parts."

The casualty said she revealed the occurrence to Orenowo's uncle and left the house for a doctor's facility.

Orenowo, be that as it may, denied the affirmation, saying he didn't lay down with his visitor after she turned down his advances.

He stated, "While I was contacting her after we had resigned to bed, she let me know not to contact her that she was in a fasting and supplication program. She took the Bible on my informal lodging the room.

"When she later returned from the living room, we began romancing one another and she demanded that she would not like to engage in sexual relations and I cleared out her to rest."

Orenowo was charged under the steady gaze of an Ogba Magistrates' Court on one check of rape.

The respondent argued not liable to the charge.

The officer, Mr P.E. Nwaka, requested that the suspect be remanded
