The crisis in the NFF glass house may have taken a new turn after today’s election as Amaju Pinnick Wins the election.
Chairman of Delta State Sports Council, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has been elected the new President of the Nigeria Football Federation. Pinnick won with twenty five of the forty four available votes.
Former NFF Secretary General and current Chairman of Osun State FA, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi finished second with nine votes, Dominic Iorfa was third with six votes while former NFF vice president, Amanze Uchegbulam polled four votes. With no candidate securing 2/3 of the votes, a second round of voting was conducted among the top three contestants.
Needing only a simple majority to win, Pinnick polled thrity two votes, Dominic Iorfa polled eight votes while
Taiwo Ogunjobi finished third with four votes.
Pinnick who also doubles as the Chairman of the Delta State FA will replace outgoing president Aminu Maigar
