NFF Board Impeaches Aminu Maigari

The Nigeria Football Federation board, today, in
Abuja impeached it chairman Alhaji Animu
Maigari.
About a week ago, The board of the Nigeria
Football Federation announced that it will keep
faith in Alhaji Aminu Maigari as president.
Twelve members of the board met in Abuja to
discuss the situation surrounding the suspension
of the country from international football by Fifa
They also agreed to reach out to all aggrieved
parties in order to put their house in order
ahead of the general elections slated for August
26.
Alhaji Aminu Maigari, coming from the brink of
extinction, after it was saved by FIFA’s
insistence, was today sacked because the Board
members were not happy with the management
style of president of the federation.
The decision was taken at an Executive
Committee meeting of the Federation which was
held today in Abuja.
